Tunkhannock Baptist Church since August 2009. He earned his B.R.E. in
Pastoral Studies from Heritage College, M.Div. and Th.M. in New
Testament from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary.
Originally from Ontario, Canada, he previously served in pastoral ministry, theological higher education, and missions work there before coming to Pennsylvania. His passions are to faithfully preach and teach the Word of God, equip the saints for the work of the ministry, and to lead the church.
He enjoys reading, writing, biking, swimming, gardening, and working on cars. Some of his favourite authors range from historical writers like Athanasius, Augustine, Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Gill, Andrew Fuller, Jonathan Edwards, C. H. Spurgeon and contemporary writers like C. J. Mahaney, Al Mohler, Mark Dever, John Piper, John MacArthur, Kevin DeYoung and others. One of his great passions is reminding people of those who have gone before us in church history and what they can teach us for today.
His wife Tracy is originally from Line Lexington, Pennsylvania. She has a Bachelor of Sacred Music and a Bachelor of Science in Bible from Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, PA. She is also a certified Suzuki piano teacher. She plays the piano, the oboe, the organ, and the guitar. She loves reading, dancing, cooking, baking, needlework and walking. Some of her favourite authors are Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Elsye Fitzpatrick, Charles Dickens, and Jane Austen. She enjoys serving in the music ministry of the church and in leading and teaching in women’s ministry in the church.
Their first child, James Warren, was born on January 5, 2010.
